“Real change, the kind we have not seen in years, is only going to come from outside the system. And, it’s only going to come from a man who has spent his entire life doing what others said could not be done.”
“My father is a fighter… Now I am seeing him fight for our country. It’s been the story of his life and, more recently, the spirit of his campaign. It’s also a prelude to reaching the goal that unites us all when this party, and better still this country, knows what it is like to win again.”
“Politicians ask to be judged by their promises not their results. I ask you to judge my father by his results.”
“He will be your greatest, your truest and your most loyal champion. This is the fighter, the doer that you have chosen as your nominee.”
Now more than fifteen months later we have learned just how tough Donald J. Trump actually is. Under relentless attack from both sides of the political swamp, from the appointment of a ruthless special counsel, to a relentless assault from the mainstream media that is paid to maintain the status quo, to politicians of all stripes desperate to protect the fiefdoms they’ve carved out for themselves, to what appears to be a Justice Department incapable of reform, Trump has withstood everything they have thrown at him.
He is as tough as Ivanka promised us he would be. That toughness – that sheer force of will – has proven to be absolutely essential as he sets about accomplishing his plan to truly clean out government corruption and to restore integrity to it.
That’s because Donald Trump didn’t run for president just to round out his resume. And, deep cleaning like he’s been doing takes extensive investigations and, unlike normal criminal investigations that can take years before charges can be brought, as president he must also account for the political considerations of his actions.
Trump knows this is not an hour-long television show. He has a plan in place that takes into those account political considerations as well as the hundreds of on-going investigations that are proving necessary to accomplishing his goal of leaving behind a government as devoid of corruption of any kind, a government that serves the people and not the financial interests of the politicians and the elites.
Unfortunately, the swamp is so deep that many arrests have to be delayed as evidence of criminal wrongdoing continues to surface against other, sometimes relatively obscure persons, including in state and local governments.
Those wanting quick results need to reset their expectations or they will be very disappointed.
The housecleaning at the top levels of the DOJ and the FBI is just a start. The last thing the country needs are corrupt second tier employees at these agencies stepping in to assume the roles of those they would be replacing.
Yesterday, evidence of that deep cleaning became evident when NY Attorney General Eric Schneiderman resigned after being charged by four women with sexual misconduct.
Trump had targeted Schneiderman as a sexual deviant in 2013 when the future president was still a private citizen:
Perhaps that’s why Schneiderman used his office to open an investigation intended to discredit Trump’s charitable foundation but never lifted a finger to do the same with the Clinton Foundation. As we’ll soon learn, there was a good reason for that.
Unlike other politicians, Trump hasn’t looked to score cheap political points with an occasional well-timed arrest of a corrupted politician. He is intent on actually ferreting out all of the officials – elected or appointed – guilty of financial corruption or who are being extorted by their sexual deviancies for their vote, and to do that, he knows he will be under attack for the entirety of his presidency.
President Trump is prepared for that. More importantly, as we’ve already seen, he is tough enough to withstand their retribution.
Schneiderman’s resignation is just a prelude of what’s to come as the sexual deviancy that pervades the NY State political hierarchy is, once it’s exposed, going to blow the lid off of that state’s Democratic leadership. It will extend all the way to Hillary Clinton. More accurately, it extends down from Hillary Clinton.
